Hello,
The scores from last week's Theme 4 Reading Assessment were terrific! We'll celebrate this success with a party lunch on Friday. The class voted for a "pot luck" and dress up day. I'm expecting to see some terrific 60's hippies, students dressed head to toe in their favorite color, and piggy costumes. We'll be eating at 11:45. Please have your food to school in the norning and join the fun. There is always alot of food and we can always use some extra hands!! Please check with your child to see what they have signed up for.
This week in Room 10:
1. Monday we're going to hear the Santa Cruz Symphony at the Civic Center. Everyone needs a bag lunch.
2. Please complete the permission slip for the Elementary Law Program court visit and trial play. I'll need drivers for this field trip. I hope you can attend. It's a wonderful experience for children and parents.
3. Social studies test on Chapter 6 is Thursday. The colonial newspaper on the Middle Colonies is also due on Thursday.
Homework: Read nightly fo 30 minutes, use the study guide for the social studies test.

Spelling - Pages 279/280
Social Studies - Chapter 6 review
Tuesday:
Math - Lessons 107/108, even only
Spelling - Pages 281/282
Grammar - Pages 60/61
Wednesday:
Math - Lesson 109, all
Grammar - Pages 102/104
Social Studies - Study for test on Thursday. Newspaper due on Thursday.
Thursday:
Math - Practice test and review, test 21B
Spelling - Study for Friday test
Language - Read Aloud and DLP
Reading - Reread weekly story if necessary for Friday test
Dates To Remember:
1. Field trip on March 11 to the courthouse
2. End of the second trimester is March 7.
3. Report cards go home on March 14.
4. Research project, Presidant's of the United States, is due March 6.
5. Next book report is due March 14. Students are reading a biography.
There's a whole lot of learning going on in Room 10! I'm very proud to see my students reach our NUMBER 1 GOAL...academic success.
