WEEK OF FEBRUARY 19-22, 2008

Hello,

Last week was packed with fun. Thank you parents for the Valentine's Breakfast and driving to the NWS in Monterey. Of course we'll be writing thank you notes to our hosts for the informative and exciting tour they provided. Hope you're enjoying the Valentine booklet that brought lots of smiles to everyone. This is another short week also packed with lots to do. We're back to nightly homework and don't forget the due date for the research project is March 6.

THIS WEEK IN ROOM 10:
1. Tuesday is the final Family Life class. The topic is puberty/reproductive systems. The nurse will talk to the girls and Mr. Kitch will instruct the boys.

2. The next book report is a biography due on March 14. For sure I'll be giving out the activity this week. We just didn't have time last week.

3. Thursday is the Theme 4 Reading Assessment.

4. No new grammar this week, but there will be spelling. Words will be from the novel we're reading and everyone will follow the "Piggy" contract.

5. No "half yellow" in this week's envelope.

6. Next Monday we're off to the symphony in Santa Cruz by school bus. I can take two parents. Let me know if you're interested.
